#21 Podcasts, Smodcasts!

Using my bloglines account I have subscribed to "The Chasers War on Everything!" and Jon Faine's Conversation Hour.
We have many patrons asking about books that are featured on the Conversation Hour so it important that I am aware what our library users may be interested in and asking for.
Subscribing to the podcasts is as easy as clicking a mouse button.
The Yahoo podcast tutorial was removed 31 Oct 2007. But you can still search in audio at Yahoo.
There are many podcasts to choose from and the choice is a bit daunting. You can preview podcasts prior to subscribing so that you know what you are getting and you choose the one you want.
Now I just need the time to listen to, and read all the items that I have subscribed to on Bloglines.
In the library podcasts could be used to instruct patrons how to search our catalogue, or use genelogy resources. Podcasts could be used for book reviews, talking books, music, community information...the list goes on. Anything that does not need to be visual.
We should have podcasts on our library home page now. What a great resource and a great way to provide information.
